How Fairy Tales can Transform a Family Team
I don’t read fantasy, myths, and fairytales to escape reality but to understand reality.
If you ever wondered how something as simple as a fairytale can provide so much wisdom it can transform your life then I have a podcast for you.
In this episode of the Family Teams podcast, I walk my kids through the symbolism of one of the most famous English fairy tales - Jack and the Beanstalk.
If you or your family feel like you’re living too close to the edge financially, the wisdom in this simple story is meant to give you the mindset you need to lead your family out of poverty.
Enjoy,
Jeremy

ONE IMPROVEMENT
I decided in my late 20s to pursue a work lifestyle that would maximize my ability to be with my family the more I succeeded at work.
Most career paths do the opposite.
Now after 20+ years of dialing down work opportunities that minimize family integration and dialing up work opportunities that maximize family integration, I get to do most of my work in partnership with my family.
This Father’s Day weekend I got to spend all 48 hours with my dad and son on a work trip.
We flew together, we presented together, we ate together, and shared in the fruits.
It was unforgettable!
If you succeed at the current path you are on will it mean more time with your family or less?
Life is too short to share most of it with strangers or short-term relationships.
God made families to work together but modern work culture makes this difficult.
But each of us can choose to find creative ways to maximize family/work integration.
It starts by making it a life goal.

PERSONAL REFLECTION
The only thing that feels more meaningful to me than spending time with my grandson is watching my dad spend time with his great-grandson.
Moments like this are so packed with meaning I can feel all the way down to my bones that God made families to be multi-generational.
Whether or not we ever get to experience these moments in our lifetime let’s build the kind of families that aim at this.
Have kids.
Stay married.
Forgive one another.
And maybe one day you’ll see four generations of your family enjoying one another.
