This is so good! While my oldest daughter (of the 3 girls) is only a freshman in high school I am starting to think more along these lines and it is so helpful to hear countercultural ideas like this so I can process and form a proactive game plan because she and I will be here before we know it! Thanks for putting this out!

This is great. Do you have any specific recommendations for sons? Maybe a future article?

Hi Jeremy, I enjoyed and loved reading this piece. May I ask your advice and thoughts on a young woman who doesn't have a father figure to help in this matter? I am a 23-year-old woman who desires marriage. But I do not come from a family background that holds the same values I do. And I need help. Thank you!

Hi Bre, so encouraged by your response. In your situation, I'm a big fan of proactively going to new places at least 1x per year where there are strong male leaders and a pool of committed young men who follow Jesus. Our daughters have spent time at select YWAM bases, Navigators Summer Training Programs and served at Christian camps under trusted leaders. Find places to serve the Lord where you can meet other young men doing the same. Wishing you all the best!
